Name : Choi Jung In
Date of birth : 7th December, 1980

Lead vocal of G.Fla, which disbanded in March 2008.

For this week, Soompi featured artist is Jung In. She previously has worked as an underground R&B vocalist in Daejeon, central Korea, until she sang in Lee Ssang’s 2002 album “Rush” as a guest vocalist. Despite being deaf in one ear, Jung-in has impressed the music industry with her unique blues style and soulful voice. She has taken part in other artists’ works, such as Brown Eyed Soul’s “Life and Love Are the Same,” Dynamic Duo’s “Confession,” and Bobby Kim’s “When I Can Love.”

Although her band G.Fla had disbanded in 2008, music lovers still love and admire her for her distinct voice and original musical style. The former lead vocalist of G.Fla, R&B singer Jung In makes her solo debut with the mini-album Jung In From Andromeda. In the past the talented singer has featured in the albums of famous artists like Leessang, Drunken Tiger, Dynamic Duo, Brown Eyed Soul, and Bobby Kim.

Now it’s finally the other way around. Epik High’s Tablo, Clazziquai’s Alex, and Jewelry’s Park Jung Ah and Ha Joo Yeon all lent their voices to the impressive mini-album produced by Leessang’s Gil, and Lee Juck also penned a ballad for her which is the title song “Hate You”. Used to be one of the best kept secret in k-pop, Jung In finally gets a chance to introduce herself to mainstream audiences as she is actively promoting her title song “Hate You” on music shows.

“Hate You” is ranked in the top 10 on many music charts and her mini-album is also doing well on album sales charts.
