Singer T-ae has been cast as the female lead for the Hollywood film Hype Nation, starring Park Jaebum.
T-ae is from a girl group named RaNia that is preparing for debut in July, managed by DrMusic. Her company stated that she will be playing the role of Jaebum’s younger sister in the b-boy film about a dance contest between an American dance crew and a South Korean crew.
T-ae was recommended for the role by famed hip-hop producer Teddy Riley, who has also been working with Jaebum on music tracks for Snoop Dogg, Daz and T-Pain.
T-ae says, “I’m extremely happy to appear in Hollywood even before my debut…I know what a great opportunity this will be for me. I will do my best.”
Meanwhile, Jaebum has been dancing with his b-boy crew Art of Movement and has signed with the US online company Digital Media Wire (DMW). He will be returning to Korea on June 23 to shoot Hype Nation.
