Yonghwa Vs. Hyun Joong For Mischievious Kiss

There has been intense competition lately among stars to get the male lead for drama, “Mischievous Kiss.”

The drama, “Mischievous Kiss,” which is scheduled to be broadcasted in the 2nd half of this year, is a drama based off a Japanese comic that sold 27 million copies in Japan alone.

Young actors who are currently gaining a lot of attention, such as Lee Min Ho, Kim Hyun Joong and Jung Yong Hwa, are some of the actors being considered for the role of the male lead.

Lee Min Ho has already revealed his intentions stating, “I have no plans to take part.” This leaves Kim Hyun Joong, with a successful acting debut in “Boys Over Flowers,” and Jung Yong Hwa who also gained a lot of popularity through the drama, “You’re Beautiful” as well as through his group activities with CNBLUE.

Production Group Eight revealed, “We are currently at the finalization stages, we have not confirmed who will be casted for the roles yet.”

“Mischievous Kiss” also continues to draw attention by choices in who will play the female lead.

Group Eight, who will be the production crew for “Mischievous Kiss,” created a craze with “Boys Over Flowers” which was based from the Japanese comic (with the same title) named as the bible of romance comics. For each and every time any news story related to this drama was released, it has garnered much popularity and interests.

Kim Hyun Joong, who has recently moved to another management company, has been a hot topic as a potential candidate for the male lead. Park Bo Young, Kara’s Han Seung Yeon, Park Shin Hye, Chungmuro, Shinae, Baek Jin Hee, have all been considered to be play opposite of the male lead.

A drama representative stated, “Recently, we are deciding between Han Seung Yeon and Park Shin Hye. Seems like it would be one of these two.”

“Mischievous Kiss,” a story which showcases love stories among youthful stars, will be directed by Hwang In Roi, who also directed “Goong” and “Ijimae Returns.” It is scheduled to be broadcasted after “Road No. 1” ends.
