She added to the K-Pop scene trot genre that was not previously explored by young singers as trot was a traditional genre sung in Korea. She started a trend to raise the number of younger trot singers and get more listener’s interest in this genre. “Oh My God” is not a traditional trot song but more upbeat and fun, even adding a few lines of rap in its remix version.  As it was quite unique, it gained popularity quickly and even hit No. 1 on some music charts. Jang Yoon Jung is very popular at festivals and with mid aged audience, and is labelled as the “trot queen”. Inspired by her success, many younger trot singers has debuted these days but still none has the success of Jang Yoon Jung.  She is always adds mix of other genres into her trot songs.
