MBLAQ’s Lee Joon & T-ara Ji-Yeon Team Up for “Gnomeo & Juliet”

MBLAQ’s Lee Joon, who has acted as the younger version of Jung Ji Hoon’s (Rain) character in Hollywood action “Ninja Assassin” and T-ara’s Ji-Yeon, who has also acted in movies and dramas, teamed up to dub Hollywood’s 3D animation film “Gnomeo and Juliet.” It is a love story about a gnome couple from families that hate each other. Gnomes in this movie come alive when the humans leave. The story is a twist from Shakespeare’s classic Romeo and Juliet, directed by Shrek 2’s Kelly A Asbury. The two gnome families, blue and red, are from different territories. Lee Joon’s Gnomeo is from the blue family while Ji-Yeon’s Juliet is from the red family, and the two fall in love. Lee Joon was chosen to dub Gnomeo’s role because of his sly yet comical acting, and Ji-Yeon was perfect for Juliet for her sweet girl charm. Gag woman Jung Ju Ri was chosen for the role of the Big Frog who helps Gnomeo and Juliet develop their feelings for each other.
