NYC to Hold Flash Mob for SM Town Concert Bid: Will Be Filmed by KBS World!

Yes, you heard it right here, there will be two official flash mobs in New York City to start a bid for a SM Town New York City. I talked to one of the organizers, Danielle DiMaggio, and this if the information she gave regarding times and meet up points. If you live in New York City or can get there, help them out!

There will be TWO flashmobs. At the meet up points there will be signs saying SM Town NYC so you know you’re in the right place.

The first is this coming Saturday 25th (date changed,) and will be filmed by KBS World to be broadcasted July 1st on none other than Music Bank along with other flash mobs around the world. The meet up point is Borders above Penn Station, next to Madison Square Garden, at 12 pm. The group will then walk to Times Square around 12:30 pm and filming will begin at 1 pm. It will then move to Columbus Circle then Sheep Meadow. Please try and turn up in SM Town Punk-related clothing, or if that is not possible, something K-Pop related if you can. Also bring K-Pop CDs, photobooks, signs, and posters!

The info and event page for this is here:

The video for the dance is the following.

[UPDATED] The second flash mob is the main one, and will be held on July 6th. The meet up point is once again Borders above Penn Station, next to Madison Square Garden, and the met up time is 11 am. At 1:15 pm the group will walk to the flash mob area which will be held at Cherry Hill (not the NJ Cherry Hill. Afterwards the hangout will be in Sheeps Meadow. The flash mob will begin at 2 pm with the same dance as the first flash mob (see video above).

This event will be filmed and footage will be sent to SBS, so again dress in your K-Pop merch and bring CDs/signs/posters etc.. The planned end time is 4 pm so you’re encouraged to bring songs by SM artists that you would also like to dance to.
