Block B Mini Album "New Kids on the Block" Shows Promising Sales Numbers

The boys of Block B officially released their first mini album, “New Kids on the Block” this past Wednesday.  It has only been a few days but the group continues to receive attention and love from the public as they gain in popularity.  As of now the album has been selling very well.

Cho PD along with his boys have been working extremely hard in pre-debut as well as in the last two months.  They had received some criticism for perhaps being ‘excessive’ in their preparations and will to strive for the top with a goal set higher than other rookie groups.  It has been proven time and time again that Block B are not your average, run of the mill rookies.  Their hard work and effort has paid off as they continue to see high number sales for the first copies of the newly released mini, which has also positively surprised industry representatives and a handful of naysayers.

The “big boss”, Cho PD, had this to say regarding the positive response from the public, “Judging from the speed at which they’re garnering fans and the progress their international fans have made, we decided that it was a reasonable goal.  But we had no idea that the first batch of copies would be sold out with just pre-orders alone two days before the album’s official release.  It’s difficult for us to judge how many more batches we need to make.  Because the supplies aren’t distributed yet, and there were a lot of international orders as well as Korean orders, we are free from being suspected for buying back albums.  Once they begin their official promotions, we predict that the sales will get higher.

The group had to overcome a minor hurdle before their debut music video and album were released due to the fact that the content was posted on an international site and then leaked to the public.  Now that is just water under the bridge as it hasn’t harmed the progress and popularity of Block B.

How are you feeling about Block B’s official release?
