Kwon Ri Sae, best known for her role on MBC “Star Audition,” has signed an agency contract with Bae Yong Joon’s Key East Entertainment on July 14th, it was reported today by local media.
This contract is expected to open up many channels of opportunities for Kwon Ri Sae, whether it be singing or acting, as Key East Entertainment manages top stars such as Bae Yong Joon, Kim Hyun Joong, and Choi Kang Hee, among many others. Local media said because of her contract with Key East Entertainment and ties to Bae Yong Joon, Kwon Ri Sae may be a strong candidate to join the sequel to popular drama show “Dream High.”
In fact, Kwon Ri Sae’s signing was believed to be imminent last month when she appeared at the red carpet event for the launch party of UAM, a global management agency co-run by SM Entertainment, YG Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, Star J Entertainment, and AM Entertainment.
The Japanese-born former Miss Korea, Kwon Ri Sae did not make it through the final rounds of MBC “Star Audition,” however, many industry officials believed her to possess the most potential as a future K-Pop star. As the former Miss Korea-Japan, Kwon Ri Sae has previous experience in the industry and her willingness to work in Korea increased her appeal to many agency representatives.
Add to that, she has recently been cast in MBC “We Got Married” as the wife of fellow “Star Audition” contestant David Oh, and it seems like her career is just about to take off!
