Mnet’s annual music awards show, the “2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA),” will be held in Singapore next month, extending its prestige as one of the most important events for the Korean music industry.
The “2011 MAMA” will be held on November 29 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. This is the second time in the show’s 13 year history to host the event overseas, following last year’s event in Macao. The concept of this year’s show is “Music Makes One,” as it aims to bring the world together through the power of K-Pop. Artists from multiple countries will be invited to perform on stage. Co-produced by MediaCorp., Singapore’s major public network, the “2011 MAMA” is estimated to attract 1.9 billion viewers from 15 different countries, including Korea, Japan, China, Singapore, and the U.S.
The event will be aired live from 7PM to 11PM (KST), with the red carpet event taking place from 5PM to 7PM (KST). The final nominees for the show will be announced on November 1.
