LeeSsang Holds "LeeSsang Theaters," Gives Laughter and Touches Hearts

As reported earlier, hip-hop duo, LeeSsang (Gil, Gary) held their first solo concert in ten years after their debut, titled “LeeSsang Theaters,” in Ax-Korea in Seoul on November 6.

The concert ran for a long three hours but LeeSsang didn’t fail to touch the hearts of the 2,000 people who attended with their personal stories of love, separation and friendship.

Before the concert began, a huge screen that covered the stage flickered on and a series of images of Gil and Gary from the past ten years until the present were shown. Then they started off the concert with songs that held vivid stories of their personal upbringings and lives such as “831,” “Remembrance,” and “Life is Beautiful.” This concluded the first part of the concert, named, “Gary and Gil.”

After the performances, LeeSsang introduced their history including how they met and their first impressions of each other. They also gave explosive laughter as they shared stories of their ex-girlfriends, even revealing their names. From the crowd, shouts of “I want you, Gary Kang!” and “Gil Sung Joon, you’re not funny!” also gave much laughter to everyone.

Then, LeeSsang performed many songs from their newest seventh album including, “To A Guy Like Me, The Answer Is You,” “I Turned Off The TV,” “Kyuksantawoo” and more. They also performed their hit songs of the past such as “Rush,” “LeeSsang Blues, “Ballerino,” and more, which brought a unified voice from the crowd that sang along.

Not only did they give great performances, but they shared the behind-the-stories for many of their greatest hits such as “LeeSsang Blues” and “To A Guy Like Me, The Answer Is You.”

There were also many guest appearances such as the “Infinity Challenge” members, Yoo Jae Suk, Jung Hyung Don, Noh Hong Chul and Haha, as well as Lee Gwang Soo, the members of the Honey Family and Jung In.

LeeSsang will continue to hold more concerts throughout the month of November and December as well.
