Jay Park and Far East Movement Lead International Acts in New Year’s Eve Music Festival

Jay Park will be one of the featured artists along with fast-rising global group Far East Movement in a year-end countdown festival, according to local news agencies. Jay Park and Far East Movement will top-bill the electronic and hip-hop music gathering dubbed “Highlight Festival 2012 Countdown” in Seoul on New Year’s Eve.

International artists like France’s DJ Sebastian, Justin Michael, DJ Feads, Idiotape and Beat Burger, among others will also be part of “Highlight Festival 2012 Countdown.”

“The festival will be a social and musical extravanganza,” a statement from the producers CJ E&M Entertainment said.

The collaboration between the two hot acts does not come as a surprise.  Jay Park and the members of Far East Movement are said to be long-time friends, since Jay Park had grown up in the United States.

“Highlight Festival 2012 Countdown” will kick-off at 10 PM KST on December 31 and is seen to wrap at 4:00 AM on the next day, January 1, 2012.
