Wonder Girls to Begin Promotions in China and U.S. from January

The Wonder Girls will begin their Chinese and U.S. promotions from January. Their latest single, “Be My Baby,” will be released in Chinese language next month, and the group will start their Chinese promotions on January 6 in Taiwan, China, and Hong Kong.

“They finished recording the Chinese version of ‘Be My Baby’ just recently. Since we already have U.S. promos scheduled for next year, Wonder Girls will first promote in China for a month in January,” said the group’s representative.

Since the release of their second regular album on November 7, the Wonder Girls have focused on promotions in Korea. Their comeback in nearly 18 months was well-received as they’ve appeared in a number of different music and variety shows, winning multiple awards as well.

With “Be My Baby,” Wonder Girls tried a slightly different sound from their more retro style of music. In particular, they worked with Beyonce’s choreographer Jonte and Katy Perry’s stylist Johnny Wujek for this album, enhancing the overall quality of the album.

Their U.S. promotions are expected to start in the first half of next year after the premiere of “Wonder Girls at the Apollo” in Los Angeles.
