On February 20 and 21, Jang Geun Suk held his “We Are Team H” concert in Japan. Only 4,000 free tickets were given out for the concert, so Jang Geun Suk offered a new service to the rest of his Japanese fans—free online broadcasting.
The result was staggering as it brought in more than 220,000 viewers and nearly 110,000 comments in just 85 minutes. The online viewership was so high that Jang Geun Suk’s agency went as far to describe it as, “Through this record, he basically rewrote concert broadcasting history.”
The concert was held to celebrate the release of his Japanese mini album, “Lounge H The First Impression.” The album is produced in collaboration with Big Brother, his partner for the unit group, Team H. Jang Geun Suk wanted to give his Japanese fans a special gift, so tickets to this concert was only offered to members of his official fan club.
“I wanted to keep my promise from last year to hold the Lounge H concert again this year. It was planned to enjoy the party with fans who couldn’t make it to the concert, and I was really happy to hear a lot of fans joined the broadcast,” Jang Geun Suk said.
Meanwhile, Jang Geun Suk and Big Brother’s unit group, Team H, will release “Lounge H The First Impression” on March 21.
