T-ara Rejects 2 Billion Won Photoshoot Proposal

On April 10, T-ara left Korea for a backpacking journey through Europe. Before departing, T-ara held a surprise mini-press briefing to talk about their traveling plans. During the briefing, one of the journalists asked, “Didn’t you have a 2 billion won (approximately 1.75 million USD) offer from a Japanese publishing company?”

T-ara answered, “Yes and we were really surprised by the number. We are really thankful for the offer, but we are not trying to make profit with this journey. Rather than filming for money, we just wanted to present natural and easygoing side of ourselves by documenting the trip ourselves. All members will be participating in documenting, editing, and making the photo book.”

A new upcoming 7 people girl group from T-ara’s agency is joining T-ara in this European backpacking trip. They are pursuing a billion-won project during this trip to conduct a photo shoot and film their first music video. Meanwhile, T-ara will document daily lives throughout the trip, showing easygoing and sometimes even childishly fooling around side of themselves. Hyomin and Eunjung will also participate in the new girl group’s project as a staff for their 8 episodes of teaser videos and a music video.

T-ara and the new girl group will document their journey through Milan, Venice, Venezia in Italy, Innsbruck in Austria, and Jungfrau, Switzerland from April 11 to April 17. They will be back in Korea on April 18.
