Musical "Jack the Ripper" featuring Super Junior’s Sungmin to Play in Japan


Korean popular musical “Jack the Ripper” is coming to Japan. Japan’s Sankei Shimbun reported on May 2nd that the Korean musical “Jack the Ripper” will be playing in Tokyo, Japan during from September to October at the Aoyama Theatre. 

“Jack the Ripper” started playing in 2009 and has become one of the most popular musical theater piece in Korea. The musical portrays the story about serial killer Jack the Ripper, who targets prostitutes on the streets in London during the year 1888. Super Junior‘s Sungmin and original Hallyu sensation Ahn Jae Wook will be playing the role of the main character Daniel, with rocker Shin Sung Woo playing Jack.

Previously in 2011, the original play of “Jack the Ripper” in Korea garnered much attention from Super Junior and Ahn Jae Wook’s Japanese fans, who visited Korea just to watch the musical, and serviced Japanese caption throughout the show.
