The Queen of ballads, Baek Ji Young, has partnered up with BEAST’s Yong Joon Hyung for her comeback. A representative of Baek Ji Young’s management, WS Entertainment, revealed, “BEAST’s Yong Joon Hyung has been working on Baek Ji Young’s upcoming title track ‘Good Boy’ as the featured rapper.”
Her new mini-album will be released on May 17 at midnight, her first in three years. Baek Ji Young goes back to her dance/pop roots with “Good Boy,” which features fast, powerful beats. The song also has some Spanish influence with guitar riffs and manages to create a majestic harmony by mixing in melodies from a 14-piece orchestra.
WS Entertainment also stated that Yong Joon Hyun is featured in the music video for “Good Boy” and will be performing with Baek Ji Young on various television programs.
Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time Baek Ji Young has collaborated with a male idol star. In the past, she’s also worked with 2PM’s Ok Taecyeon for “My Ear’s Candy.” During their stage appearances together, the two surprised fans with a sexy choreography that made viewers forget the big age gap between the two. As such, many fans are also curious as to what the choreography and performance between Baek Ji Young and Yong Joon Hyung will entail. Many are even speculating an on-stage kiss between the two…
