The latest body-swapping fantasy drama, “Big,” starring Lee Min Jung and Gong Yoo, made its premiere last night. The drama was surprisingly fast-paced. Seo Yoon Jae (Gong Yoo) and Kang Kyung Joon (Shin Won Ho) switch bodies after a fateful accident, and Gil Daran (Lee Min Jung) comes to accept it – all in the first episode.
However, keen viewers were able to spot a flaw in one of the scenes in the pilot episode. A distraught and unbelieving Gil Daran was in the middle of calling Kang Kyung Joon’s homeroom teacher to ask for his address, when people noticed the inside of her cell phone. In fact, the screen showed the home screen with the current time, proof that she was not in the middle of a call.
Netizens commented, “Haha I saw this,” “That’s pretty funny,” “Oops! She’s talking to herself,” “Caught right in the act! Haha,”and more. Meanwhile, “Big” recorded 7.9% (AGB Nieslen) for its first episode.
In “Big,” Lee Min Jung plays Gil Daran, a spunky and clumsy high school teacher who’s engaged to Gong Yoo’s Seo Yoon Jae, a doctor who swaps bodies with Gil Daran’s 18-year-old delinquent student Kang Kyung Joon. The drama marks Lee Min Jung’s return to the small screen in a year, following her performance in “Midas” with Jang Hyuk. “Big” is also Gong Yoo’s first drama since his discharge from the military in December 2009. The body-swapping rom-com also stars Bae Suzy of miss A, Jang Hee Jin, Shin Won Ho, Baek Sung Hyun, Ahn Suk Hwan, Yoon Hae Young, and more. KBS will air the second episode of “Big” tonight, June 5, at 9:55PM KST. Check out the preview for tonight’s episode here!
