B.A.P’s comeback has been met with some bad news.
The group’s first mini-album, “No Mercy” was set to be released on July 19 but has been postponed. Originally, the album was to be released in conjunction with the unveiling of the title track’s music video. But a defect was detected with the finished product so the company has decided to re-manufacture the albums. The decision was made to recall and destroy the albums thus pushing back the mini release schedule.
A TS Entertainment official said, “The album was to be released simultaneously in on and off-line stores on July 19, but there was a problem with the products color. To keep our promise to give the best gift to music fans we felt it was in their interest to reproduce the album.”
Even though the mistake was found with the physical versions of B.A.P’s album, it doesn’t seem to have hurt the group on the charts. The music video and digital version of the mini were made available and has received positive response from the public. On charts such as Mellon, Soribada, and other major music sites the album is ranked in the top ten and steadily climbing. “No Mercy” is an exciting hip-hop flavored rock track which features the impressive rap from the talented Bang Young Guk and Zelo. The group performed “No Mercy” or the first time yesterday on MNET’s “M! Countdown” kicking off their official comeback broadcast activities.
