3rd Annual Kollaboration San Francisco to Bring Rising Asian Americans to the Zellerbach Stage

Soompiers in the Bay Area! Heads up! The 3rd annual Kollaboration San Francisco is just around the corner! This year’s show will take place at the Zellerbach Auditorium in UC Berkeley on Saturday, September 8! Eight competitors will be competing for a $1,000 Grand Prize, a $500 Audience Choice Award, the chance to open for Clara C and David Choi at their San Francisco show in the fall!, and the opportunity to perform at Kollabration Grand Finale in Los Angeles this November, where they will compete with other winners from across the country.

This year’s competitors include bands like Soulful, Outer Sunset, Monsters Calling Home, as well as vocalists Jayne Rio, Dustin Ako, and Peter Chung. Martial arts team Team Loopkicks and violinist Crywolffs! Violin will also be challenging them for the grand prize.

Founded in 2000 with a single show in Los Angeles, Kollaboration is an arts and entertainment nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting positive and accurate perceptions of Asians and Pacific Islanders by providing a platform for artists to showcase their talents. Kollaboration has since grown and produces 15 shows across 13 cities in North America, including Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Toronto, and more.
