On September 4, PSY reached a new milestone with his smash hit single “Gangnam Style,” becoming the first Korean artist to get over 100 million views on YouTube.

It took just a little over 50 days for PSY to set the record, as he passed Girls’ Generation’s “Gee,” the previous record-holder that took nearly 3 years to pass 84 million views. In fact, PSY and his “Gangnam Style” dance have become an instant global phenomenon since its release on July 15, receiving countless press coverage and Twitter mentions from around the world.
