Super Junior’s Leeteuk Explains Why He’s Shorter than His Official Profile Height

Super Junior’s Leeteuk gave an interesting explanation to why he appears shorter than his officially listed height on TV. His official online profile says he’s 178cm tall, or roughly 5’10”.

The explanation came during the recent recording of MBC Every1’s “Weekly Idol.” Leeteuk was invited as a guest for a special “Profile Q&A” session where his fellow Super Junior members questioned and verified some of the facts listed on his official profile.

In particular, the Super Junior members disputed Leeteuk’s real height, which on the profile says is over 178cm. The members said, “It’s nonsense,” but Leeteuk soon gave a reasonable explanation as to why the confusion was there.

“As I grew older, my back spine kind of bent in, and I think that’s why I got shorter,” Leeteuk said. He went on to joke about other stuff, making the entire recording staff burst into laughter. But it’s reported that the other Super Junior members eventually revealed Leeteuk’s real height.

The full episode of this week’s “Weekly Idol” will air on September 12 at 6PM. Stay tuned for more updates!
