2PM’s New Single “Masquerade” Tops Charts in Japan

Japan is going wild for 2PM‘s upcoming fifth single, “Masquerade,” which is set to be released on November 15.

As soon as pre-orders for “Masquerade” have started on October 15, there has been an explosive response, which resulted in 2PM placing first, second and third on the Tower Record online chart. They placed first on the mobile music download chart, Recochoku.

Japan’s famous composers NA.ZU.NA and M.I, who worked with top artists such as Arashi, Koda Kumi and SMAP, wrote 2PM’s “Masquerade.” It is a dance track and is about a sad story of a forbidden love.

In the revealed “Masquerade” jacket photo, the 2PM members exude their signature masculine charms. They will be doing a “mask dance” to go along with the performance.

This single will also contain a track called “Forever,” which is written by Junho. Fans are excited to see Junho’s musical growth through this track.

Meanwhile, 2PM will start their Japanese tour in January of 2013. They will be throwing 13 concerts in total and are expecting over 150,000 fans to attend.
