Sistar’s Hyorin Is Korea’s Beyonce?


Singer Hyorin from Sistar has received the nickname “Korea’s Beyonce” after her amazing show in KBS2 “Immortal Song 2” televised on October 20. The singer has shown various powerful performances all throughout the show and on that day, Hyorin chose to reinterpret the song “A cup of coffee” in a jazzy tune.

Shin Joong Hyun, a legendary Korean musician and a guest on the show, praised, “How can she sing that well while moving so quickly. That’s hard for foreign singers as well. She did very well.”

On that episode, Hyorin was picked number 1, vanquishing fellow singer Shin Yong Jae by just two points.

Other participants for that day included Ailee, Ali, Shin Yong Jae, Jay Park, Ryeo Wook, Lyn, Kang Min Kyung, Kim Tae Woo, Seong Hoon, Sweet Sorrow and No Brain.
