It recently came to light again that actress Han Ga In scored an impressive 384 out of 400 points on the Korean CSAT (College Scholastic Ability Test) – placing her close to the 95th or so percentile.
The scores were revealed by Kyung Hee University, where Han Ga In applied to major in hotel administration. At Paiwha Girls’ High School she also ranked 5th by GPA out of her entire school.
The bright actress also participated in KBS 2TV‘s “Star Golden Bell” as a high school student and qualified through 34 rounds of questions that she answered correctly.
For her impressive high school records, Han Ga In and other celebrities such as Park Ji Sun, Lee So Eun, Song Joong Ki, Verbal Jint, Sung Si Kyung, Sweet Sorrow, Lee In Hae and Kim Jung Hoon have been gaining mass attention for choosing to pursue a competitive and tough industry as the entertainment biz rather than the relying on their high school grades and rankings to gain entrance into one of Korea’s most prestigious colleges and universities.
Their stories of success go on to show that if you pursue what you love, a college education may or may not be the only route to obtaining a successful career. What do you think, Soompiers?
