“Super Star K” Season 4 winner Roy Kim is set to make his world stage debut through a performance at the 2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA). With the highly anticipated awards show already starting to receive buzz from hints of special performances, reports in local news agencies confirm Roy Kim’s participation and performance.
“The MAMA 2012 will be seen by tens of thousands, which makes sense for ‘Super Star’ winner Roy Kim to make a performance,” Mnet’s Director for New Channels Shin Young Kwan said in an interview with Star News.
Roy Kim’s MAMA performance is reported to be a rendition of LeeSsang’s “Whose Life Is This For?” which was his winning song at the “Super Star K4” finals.
MAMA 2012, to be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on November 30, is already exciting fans and viewers with performances prepared from the biggest K-Pop acts like Big Bang, Super Junior, SISTAR and others. PSY and Chinese singer Wang Lee Hom bring about the bridge across Asian music. Well-known actors Jung Woo Sung, Song Seung Hun, Yoon Eun Hye, Song Joong Ki, Jung Il Woo, Han Chae Young, Yoon Si Yoon and Park Shin Hye, among others are also expected to add star power to the show’s already stellar line-up.
