4Minute’s HyunA Is The New Face of “G By Guess”

Girl group 4Minute’s HyunA will be the new promotional model for the globally famous brand “G BY GUESS” for the Spring/Summer collection of 2013.

An official of the brand announced, “We judged that for this new season’s promotional pictorial, we needed someone in the style of a ‘pin-up girl’ who looked both fresh sexy, and HyunA is perfect for that image. HyunA has garnered much attention from not only Korea but from the rest of the world as well, and the singer suits well with this global brand.”

The concept for this S/S season is “Design is FUN, Style is SEXY.” It is scheduled that HyunA will help to promote the clothing and other products through various marketing strategies. The promotion pictorial will be released in the middle of February.

On the other hand, HyunA will participate at the Cube Entertainment family concert “United Cube,” which will kick off February 2.

Totally agree with maggiiepham here: However much you may like someone, it is the public overall who decides how popular someone is. There were 3 members of Destiny's Child, but the public picked Beyonce, for instance. It makes complete business sense for the record companies and/or management to go with what seems to have the most impact. So right now, Cube are really pushing HyunA because that's who the majority have chosen (rightly or wrongly). It may seem unfair, but let's not be too hasty to judge; because of HyunA's profile far more people have heard of 4minute (and their music) than probably would have normally, so it can only boost their standing as a by-product anyway, so they all benefit. Also, as they're trying to break HyunA into the US market- which may or may not happen- if they do, and- if she does get established there- they can then introduce 4minute onto the same stage. Remember, these people are not idiots; they know marketing inside-out so we can assume they know something about what they're doing.
