There has been much media buzz about the production of an idol version of the popular omnibus drama, “Couple Clinic – Love and War Season 2” (henceforth “Love and War 2“).
KBS has announced its plans to produce an idol version of “Love and War 2” this coming March.
A KBS source commented, “The male lead for the idol version of ‘Love and War 2’ has been confirmed as ZE:A‘s Kim Dong Joon while the female leads have been confirmed as Jewelry‘s Kim Ye Won and 4minute‘s Nam Ji Hyun.”
“Love and War 2” is a drama that’s based on a true story about a couple and/or marriage that is in trouble. The actors in the drama are usually older in years since the topic of the drama is about serious issues in marriage, such as infidelity. The second season of “Love and War” includes segments where professionals in the family relations, marriage counseling, psychology, and sociology industries talk about the story portrayed in the episode. All episodes are true stories submitted by the viewers themselves.
In the idol version of “Love and War 2,” idol stars will act as the main characters to reenact the viewers’ stories. The idol version will most likely shed the heavy and serious atmosphere of the previous, original episodes and go for a lighter and brighter mood that suits the idols.
The idol version of “Love and War 2” will be about the problems encountered in young, newlywed couples in their twenties and thirties. Other cast members are yet to be decided and confirmed. The first episode is expected to air in March.
