Kim Gura to Return to MBC’s “Radio Star”

Kim Gura

It looks like good news for Kim Gura! He will be returning to MBC’s “Radio Star.” According to a broadcasting representative on June 3, Kim Gura will be appearing on “Radio Star” to replace Yoo Sae Yoon.

In the past, Kim Gura had dropped out of “Radio Star” back in April 2012, because of his comments against comfort women of South Korea. These comments were made before he began MCing “Radio Star.” If Kim Gura returns now it would have been 1 year and 2 months since he left.

In the past, the “Radio Star” production team had talked about Kim Gura’s return. However, the return was shot down because of upper management on MBC. This time, Kim Gura’s return worked out because of Yoo Sae Yoon’s dropping out of the show.

Currently “Radio Star” has the #1 viewership rating for its time slot.
