On October 7, one representative related to the program stated, “It looks like SM Entertainment might not be able to join this season. SBS plans to release a statement regarding this along with their stance soon.”
The day before, on October 6, SBS released an official press release to reporters regarding the third season of “K-Pop Star.” It stated that the preliminary auditions have finished and that the main filming will begin next month in mid-November.
