“The Face Reader” Sweeps the 50th Grand Bell Awards By Winning Six Awards Including Best Film


The 50th Grand Bell Awards took place on November 1 and it was called the night of “The Face Reader,” as the hit film took home six different awards including the award for Best Film.

“The Face Reader” received 11 nominations and took home six trophies for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Popularity Award, Best Supporting Actor and Best Costume Design.

Miracle in Cell No. 7” also took home 12 nominations and four awards including Best Actor, Best Screenplay, Best Art Direction, and the Special Award.

Other notable winning films include “Snow Piercer” and “New World.”

The Best Actor award was given to two actors, Ryu Seung Ryong (“Miracle in Cell No. 7”) and Song Kang Ho (“The Face Reader”). The Best Actress award went to Uhm Jung Hwa for “Montage.”
