Kim Woo Bin and the production staff of the film “Friend 2” recently celebrated reaching the one million viewers mark.
The movie is the fastest with a restricted rating (19+) to reach one million viewers in Korean history. The film’s cast and crew released photos to celebrate this new Korean “Box Office Legend.” Director Kwak Gyeong Taek is currently touring and greeting fans of the movie along with actors Yoo Oh Sung and Jeong Ho Bin. The tour began in Gwangju and has gone to Daegu, Ulsan, and Busan. The group released a celebratory photo holding a cake.
After Kim Woo Bin heard the news on the set of “The Heirs,” he released a handwritten message to share his joy with his fans.
The movie leapt past the other fastest restricted Korean films to reach one million viewers, as follows: “Needless Gangster: Rules of the Time” and “New World” (four days), “Tazza: The High Rollers” (five days) and “The Man from Nowhere” (six days).
