“Grandpas Over Flowers” Will Be Returning with Third Season

"Grandpas Over Flowers" Season 3

PD Na Young Suk confirmed on December 12 that actor Lee Seo Jin will be returning as the baggage boy for the third season of tvN’s “Grandpas Over Flowers.”

PD Na emphasized, “Lee Seo Jin will be going as the baggage boy.”

A tvN representative had earlier revealed, “We are currently talking to Lee Seo Jin about appearing in ‘Grandpas Over Flowers’ Season 3. Lee Soon Jae, Shin Gu, Park Geun Hyung, Baek Il Sub, the members who appeared in ‘Grandpas Over Flowers’ will be the same. It’s just Lee Seo Jin who has drama filming commitments, so his participation cannot be confirmed.”

Counter to what tvN is saying, PD Na stated, “Perhaps tvN’s PR side are being unclear about Lee Seo Jin’s participation as an indirect way of saying that they are working out the schedules, but Lee Seo Jin will indeed be the baggage boy for Season 3.”

He added, “It is confirmed that he will be the baggage boy, but the travelling schedule may be slightly fluid. We have to match not just Lee Seo Jin’s schedule, but the schedules of the rest as well, Lee Soon Jae, Shin Gu, Park Geun Hyung and Baek Il Sub.”

Lee Seo Jin’s agency, Hook Entertainment, confirmed that, “Lee Seo Jin will be participating in ‘Grandpas Over Flowers’ Season 3 as the baggage boy. He has a drama in February, KBS 2TV’s weekend drama ‘Good Times Indeed’, with Kim Hee Sun and Ok Taecyeon (2PM), and we asked for understanding from the drama’s production team as the ‘Grandpas Over Flowers’ Season 3 schedule is set for end-January, early-February. Since this schedule is before ‘Good Times Indeed’ starts airing, we think that it won’t have too much effect on the drama.”

PD Na is finishing up his post-production work with currently airing “Nunas Over Flowers,” and will take a quick breather before diving right back into “Grandpas Over Flowers.”

The destination for Season 3 is currently undecided.
