According to multiple entertainment representatives, actors Shin Sung Woo, Seo Kang Joon and Park Min Woo, actress Hong Soo Hyun, After School’s Nana and 2NE1’s Park Bom, fighter Song Ga Yeon, and comedian Jo Se Ho will be joining new SBS weekend variety show “Roommate.” The members will also be moving into the “Roommate” share house on March 27 to 28.
Actor Shin Sung Woo revealed his charisma as one of the “lonely friends” on MBC’s “Infinity Challenge” at the beginning of 2014, while Park Min Woo recently completed JTBC drama “Can We Love” in which he played a younger man. Seo Kang Joon is currently in MBC drama “Cunning Single Lady,” and revealed his heodang tendencies when he appeared on “Radio Star” in January.
Actress Hong Soo Hyun was last seen in MBC weekend drama “Give Love Away” in 2013, while comedian Jo Se Ho played a comic book store customer in SBS’ “Man from the Stars.”
Nana and Park Bom are the “strong unnies,” both of whom are currently promoting with Orange Caramel and 2NE1 respectively. Probably stronger than her two unnies, Song Ga Yeon is a MMA fighter and ring girl who gained attention from appearing in XTM’s survival fighting program “Crying Fist.”
“Roommate” is a variety show that will observe what goes on in a share house, a new form of accommodation that has recently gained popularity among young people. The exciting program will closely follow the daily lives of ten male and female top stars as they live and interact with one another in one house. While it is expected that the show will draw laughs, it will also showcase the bonds of friendship and familial affection.
“Roommate” premieres on April 20 on SBS as part of the “Good Sunday” lineup, replacing “K-Pop Star 3.”
The rest of the cast is currently being finalized, so watch out for more updates!
