Popular domestic and overseas acts will be coming together for an anticipated large-scale concert.
Set for August 9 and 10 at the World Cup Stadium in Seoul, “Hyundai Card City Break 2014” announced the first part of its line-up on May 20.
To successfully manage the event, three big stages will be built to the stadium arena. Altogether, 30 talented artists will perform over the course of two days, with the acts including globally acknowledged stars and outstanding domestic singers.
Enjoying great popularity in Korea, Maroon 5 will return to Korea after two years since their last appearance. Although the group is currently taking a break and focusing on their next album, the group will come to Korea just for the concert. This is particularly significant considering that most international artists visit Korea simply as a part of their Asian tour.
In addition to Maroon 5, global phenomenon PSY has been confirmed as one of the main acts. With the support of his hits “Gangnam Style” and “Gentleman,” the energetic performer can be expected to put on an entertaining show.
Considering that PSY and Maroon 5 had an intensive face-off on the Billboard Hot 100 chart back in 2012 when PSY’s “Gangnam Style” failed to throw Maroon 5’s “One More Night” off from the No.1 spot, it will be interesting to see how the meeting between the two will go.
Other confirmed artists include American rock band The Neighbourhood, rock guitarist Richie Sambora, as well as ballad singer Lee Juck and rock group Nell.
The early birds will be able to purchase a ticket for “City Break” starting from May 21, and the regular ticket sales will open on June 3.
