Kim Wan Sun Releases “Goodbye My Love” Video

Kim Wan Sun

Veteran singer Kim Wan Sun has released the music video for her latest single, “Goodbye My Love.” The track features rappers Tiger JK and Bizzy, and was written by Oh Suk Jun and Kim Jin Hoon.

The song is a fusion of tango and urban musical stylings, and includes rap breakdowns. Its lyrics tell the story of a woman who decides to end her relationship with a younger man. The video stays in tune with the musical theme, with several scenes featuring a couple dancing a tango. It is shot entirely in black and white.

The track is Kim Wan San’s first release since the mini album, “The Beer,” released in September 2012. Often nicknamed the “Korean Madonna,” Kim Wan San first debuted in 1986 at the age of 17, and enjoyed a steady flow of hits until the mid-1990s. In 2002, she made her first major comeback with an album composed mainly of remakes of her earlier hits. She also made a more recent comeback in 2011 with the extended play, “Super Love,” featuring the hit song of the same name.
