Actress Jang Shin Young Joins “My Spring Day,” to Be Rivals With Girls’ Generation Sooyoung


Actress Jang Shin Young has joined the cast of the upcoming MBC Wednesday-Thursday drama “My Spring Day.”

According to MBC on July 30, Jang Shin Young will play the role of Bae Ji Won, a cold-hearted but fast-calculating team leader of the public relations department. The character has exceptional beauty, refined language and sagacity, receiving the affection of Myung Hee (Shim Hye Jin.) Jang Shin Young will be rivals with Girls’ Generation‘s Sooyoung for Kam Woo Sung.

Jang Shin Young is generating interest as she has shown off her great acting ability in the popular dramas “The Chaser” and “Empire of Gold.”

Meanwhile, “My Spring Day” is a melodrama is about a woman who is terminally that receives a new heart through an organ transplant, and then she meets the husband of the woman who donated the heart, and the two fall in love.

Lee Jae Dong, the director of dramas such as “Thank You” and “Missing You” teams up with writer Park Ji Sook of “Hero.” Kam Woo Sung, Sooyoung, Lee Joon Hyuk, Jang Shin Young, and Shim Hye Jin star in the drama. The first episode will be broadcast in September.
