YG Entertainment will be producing a new survival program, a year later after the launching of “WHO IS NEXT: WIN,” and its consequent birth of the current group, WINNER. The new show, called “MIX & MATCH,” will bring about a new boy group among a group of nine trainees—six from Team B (the rival team of WINNER during last year’s competition) plus three new trainees that will be introduced later (more details could be found in our previous cover of the news here).

The six members of Team B are B.I, Bobby, Kim Jin Hwan, Song Yoon Hyung, Goo Joon Hwe, and Kim Dong Hyuk. They will compete alongside three new members that have been picked in an internal audition that is said to have been highly difficult and competitive. The producers of YG will then “mix” each of the members’ skills, charms, and individual unique qualities to make the best “match” to be debuted as the new YG boy group.

The production press conference for the show will be held at a hotel in Yeoido this coming September 2. Yang Hyun Suk will personally be present as their producer and explain the battle system as well as the debut project in detail. Last year after the victor was decided as Team A, Yang Hyun Suk had revealed, “The losing team will either be broken apart or rearranged.” Knowing this, fans, many of whom are cheering on Team B, are anxiously anticipating what kinds of battles will be made, and what kinds of missions and through what kinds of judging processes they would undergo before deciding upon a victor.

Also present at the conference will be BIGBANG’s Daesung and actress Yoo In Na as the MCs. They will be cheering on their juniors-to-be like they did when they served as MCs for the finale of “WIN.”

Meanwhile, “MIX & MATCH” is expected to create a huge buzz once again the entertainment industry, as B.I and Bobby have already been issue-makers as competitors on Mnet’s “Show Me the Money 3.”

What do you guys think? Will you guys be tuning in?
