Actor Kim Jung Gyun, the organizer of the show, revealed, “From November 1 to 3, performance titled ‘Gag Club 30th Anniversary Attendance Check‘ will take place at Daehak-ro. Both current students and celebrity alumni of Seoul Institute of the Arts will stand on stage together.”
Gag Club is well known as the representative comedy club of Seoul Institute of the Arts. The club has been active for 30 years, and its alumni include founding members Kim Jung Gyun and Pyo In Bong, as well as Shin Dong Yup, Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Hwi Jae, Song Eun Yi, Lee Young Ja, among others.
“Last year, we had a reunion for the 29th anniversary, and the turnout was larger than expected. For the 30th anniversary, we decided to go bigger and ended up organizing the show,” Kim Jung Gyun explained.
For an hour and 30 minutes, the comedians will entertain the viewers by performing stand-up comedy and hilarious skits. In addition, famous singers will join the show by congratulating the club through special stages.
“Shin Dong Yup is responsible for casting the girl groups. Personally, I would like to see SISTAR at the show,” Kim Jung Gyun added.
The profits will be donated to the Gag Club members and students from skipped generation families through the university’s scholarship fund.
