J.Tune Camp, management agency of MBLAQ, has finally released an official statement regarding news about Lee Joon‘s departure from the group.
“Hello. This is J.Tune Camp.
We are giving our official statement on the news of Lee Joon leaving the group and MBLAQ’s break-up reported today.
It is true that Lee Joon’s exclusive contract is coming to an end, but Lee Joon’s departure from the group has not been decided yet and discussions are still going on.
As such, Lee Joon is expected to participate in all MBLAQ activities, including the November MBLAQ concerts.
Lee Joon is discussing fully with the agency his thoughts on his future plans, goals, and career. We plan to decide together in consideration of Lee Joon’s opinion and other MBLAQ members’ positions. The agency will do its best for MBLAQ.
Henceforth, J.Tune Camp will announce through official statements any future decisions that will be made.
We ask for continue love and support for MBLAQ.”
Right before this official statement was released, TV Report reported that member Thunder was also withdrawing from the group when his contract ends with J.Tune Camp, according to TV industry sources. J.Tune Camp has yet to respond to this news.
A rep from J.Tune Camp has spoken with Newsen and various other news outlets, saying that both Lee Joon and Thunder are in discussions with the agency regarding their future with MBLAQ: “Lee Joon, as well as Thunder, are in discussions regarding departure from group.”
Since it released an official statement about reports on Lee Joon’s departure so closely to breaking news about Thunder’s departure, it does not seem the agency will release an official statement specifically on Thunder and will suffice with interviews to local news agency.
Meanwhile, MyDaily reports that according to the music industry insiders, MBLAQ will release a final album near the end of November and each member will go their separate way, cultivating their own individual talents.
