Seo In Guk Recovers From Eye Injury, Resumes Filming of “The King’s Face”

Singer-actor Seo In Guk, who has sustained an eye injury during rehearsal for “The King’s Face,” has now fully recovered and is ready to go back to filming!

“We have started filming from the part of ‘The King’s Face shot in Hadong on October 22 and the part where Seo In Guk joins the scenes,” revealed a representative of KBS 2TV‘s “The King’s Face” to Star News on October 23. “Seo In Guk has always been overflowing with energy so we finished the first filming with a light atmosphere,” added the representative.

Earlier this month, Seo In Guk sustained an eye injury while rehearsing for the action scenes in “The King’s Face.” His eye was accidentally hit by the hand of a stunt man that caused damage to his eye and bone. Luckily, there were no problems with his vision and eyeball and the production decided to push back the filming to one week from the original schedule to accommodate Seo In Guk’s recovery.

Because the earlier parts of the drama didn’t require a lot of exposure from Seo In Guk, the production team was able to continue with filming, causing no delay to the original broadcast schedule.

“To Seo In Guk, this is the first filming of his first historical drama so he had a strong will to proceed with the filming,” shared the representative. “Although his condition is not yet perfect, his will power is amazing. His body is also fast recovering. He has the determination to get himself together and show a good project,” added the representative.

“The King’s Face” tells the story of Prince Gwang Hae, the prince of Joseon that has had the longest and most dramatic life as a crown prince that is full of ups and downs. This is Seo In Guk’s first foray into historical drama as he takes on the role of Prince Gwang Hae.

“The King’s Face” is slated to air in November, following the completion of “Blade Man.”
