CL and Dok2 Collaboration Coming Soon?

A pair of Instagram images uploaded by rap star and producer Dok2 seem to suggest that he is to team up with 2NE1 star CL, possibly for her upcoming United States debut. The photos were posted with the caption, “Just hanging out in the studio.” CL has added fuel to the rumor of a Dok2 collaboration by also uploading one of the pictures, along with the caption “Young boss, Dok2.”

In the photos, CL is holding a baseball cap emblazoned with the logo “Illionaire,” the name of the record label that Dok2 runs in association with fellow Korean rap act The Quiett.

Previously, Dok2 has worked with a number of stars of K-pop and hip hop in the past, including Zion.T, Epik High, and Beenzino, and CL just recently hit the stage at the 2014 Style Icon Awards with DJ Diplo. With news of the two artists’ possible collaboration, anticipation is high for their combined efforts.

Meanwhile, Dok2 is set to perform for the November 22 hip-hop concert to be held at the Sungnam Art Center Opera House, and CL also has big plans coming up, with a US debut in the works.
