Fans of Korean sitcoms from the early 2000s would certainly know of “New Nonstop.” They would be even more thrilled to find that the cast members, now big stars in their own right, have recently gathered together for a simple and quiet reunion.
On November 4, actor Jung Tae Woo posted a photo on his personal Instagram. It was a snapshot of him, along with “New Nonstop” co-stars Jo In Sung, Jang Nara, Yang Dong Geun, Park Kyung Lim, and Kim Young Joon. His caption read, “The ‘New Nonstop’ family has gathered together in one place again after 12 years. We’re all here except Kim Jung Hwa, who is in the United States, and (Jung) Da Bin noona, who has gone to heaven. We got caught up in old memories after a long time and indulged in joyful chatter. Park Kyung Lim, Yang Dong Geun, Kim Young Joon, Jo In Sung, Jang Nara, Jung Tae Woo.”
Jung Da Bin, who Jung Tae Woo mentioned in his caption, passed away in 2007.
“New Nonstop” was the second season of the five-season-long MBC “Nonstop” sitcom series that had changing cast members. The “New Nonstop” cast were together for the second season, which aired from 2000 to 2002. The photo shows the close friendship among the actors a full 12 years after the sitcom, the actors all having moved on to even greater success.
