It looks like 2015 will continue the trend of emerging solo artists. So far we have CNBLUE’s Jung Yonghwa, f(x)’s Amber, and After School’s Lizzy lined up for solo debuts next year. And, according to a recent report by Sports Donga, SHINee’s Jonghyun is also to hit the stage solo.
According to the report, SHINee Jonghyun’s solo is coming seven years after his debut, and he will be the second SHINee member to do so, following group member Taemin’s debut in August of this year.
CNBLUE’s Jung Yonghwa will be releasing his solo foray mid-January, five years after his debut. The preparations started last year, and the album is produced by Jung Yonghwa himself.
f(x)’s Amber is lined up for a February debut. While the other f(x) members have had their share of solo activities, Amber will be the first to make a solo music debut.
Recently, it was revealed that After School’s Lizzy would also be going out on her own, with her album including a trot song. Pledis has stated that “the concept has yet to be decided.”
These four will take the baton from 2014’s newly debuted solo artists, who include Secret’s Jun Hyosung and Song Ji Eun, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun and Zhoumi, and SHINee’s Taemin.
