Jackson Bags Best Male Rookie Award, Wishes His Song Parts in GOT7 to Increase

GOT7 member Jackson Wang, who is also gaining popularity through the SBS variety show “Roommate,” was awarded the Best Male Rookie Award at the 2014 SBS Entertainment Awards!

On December 30, GOT7’s Jackson took home his first award after having made his debut in the industry just in January this year. He bested co-“Roommate” member Seo Kang Joon and “Merry House” members Song Chang Eui, Lee Jae Ryong, and Jung Gyu Woon.

Upon calling his name, Jackson hugged his co-members in “Roommate” and went up the stage, bowing. The “Roommate” members all climbed up the stage with Jackson and gave him flowers to congratulate him.

Upon receiving his award, Jackson began, “Oh my God, is this really true? My heart is throbbing right now. Please give me two seconds,” he said with great surprise. After gaining his composure, Jackson sent his gratitude to everyone who has helped him be in his position. He then sent out his request, “I hope I get more parts in GOT7,” he jokingly said.

Jackson also sent his gratitude to his “Roommate” co-members, “To my hyungs in ‘Roommate,’ my noonas... I’m grateful that we were given the chance to meet. Thank you also to the parents of GOT7. I will (continue) to work hard,” said Jackson.

After GOT7 member Jackson joined the SBS variety show “Roommate” in its second season, the young singer has gained even more popularity for his bright and cheerful demeanor despite his tough and manly appearance. Viewers are engaged and always look forward to seeing Jackson in the show.

Congratulations, Jackson! Now let’s cross our fingers JYP does give you more parts! ;P
