Mnet will be starting off the New Year with a brand new music program.
A CJ E&M associate said on January 2, “We are in preparation for a new program, ‘I Can See Your Voice,’ which is set to broadcast in February. The exact day on which it will broadcast has not been decided yet.”
“I Can See Your Voice” is a program with the premise that there are a number of people in a group, some of whom can sing and some who can’t. Professional singers will then look only at hints and the outward appearance of these people to guess the person who can sing well. If someone who can’t sing well gets chosen, they will earn a prize of 10,000,000 Won ($10 000 USD); if the one who can sing gets chosen, they will be able to sing a duet with the singer and release it as a digital single.
The show will be produced by producer Lee Seon Young, who also produced mega hits such as “Superstar K5,” “Show Me the Money,” and many others. She has worked on many experimental music programs, so her work on this new program is gathering anticipation.
