Go Ah Sung Impresses with Her English in “Heard It Through the Grapevine”

Ratings for “Heard It Through the Grapevine” fell slightly with their most recent episode. Viewership ratings research company Nielsen Korea reported that their March 9 episode received 8.3 percent ratings. The previous episode had received 8.7 percent ratings reflecting a loss of 0.4 percent.

On March 9, the fifth episode showed Seo Bom (Go Ah Sung) being received as a daughter-in-law by her new husband In Sang (Lee Joon)’s parents, Han Jung Ho (Yoo Joon Sang) and Choi Yeon Hee (Yoo Ho Jeong). Thus, the parents begin informing friends and associates about their son’s marriage and child.

After finding out, frenemy Ji Young Ra (Baek Jee Young) delights in the news and proceeds to visit their home. Yeon Hee only wanted to introduce Bom and dismiss her to her room, but her frenemy has other plans. Young Ra states, “Let’s have a basic test on her.”

She promptly springs a surprise English test on Bom. Undaunted, Bom answers her questions in fluent English.

Meanwhile, competing dramas such as KBS2’s “Blood” received 4.4 percent ratings while MBC’s “Shine or Go Crazy” received 11.6 percent.
