Actor Kim Sung Min Arrested on Drug Charges

Actor Kim Sung Min has been arrested for possession of illegal drugs.

It was reported on March 11 that the actor, who has a history of illegal drug convictions, has been arrested once again for possessing meth.

The Drug Enforcement Team at the Kyunggi Police Department announced in a briefing on March 11 that Kim Sung Min has been arrested in his home for possession of methamphetamine, commonly known as meth.

They stated, “While investigating dealer A’s phone calls, we found out that Kim Sung Min has purchased 0.8g of meth.”

They further continued, “He has purchased the drug over the internet. He received them through private mail delivery on November 24 of last year. An acquaintance of his received them first and he did them in a nearby motel afterwards.”

“Kim Sung Min has admitted to taking the drug once in a motel near his home. He acknowledged his possession of the drug but claimed that he has only done the drug once. We will continue investigating into this matter.”

Previously, the actor was charged for smuggling drugs in 2008 and 2009. After a hiatus, he returned to the screen in 2012 with drama “Can We Get Married” and recently appeared in “Three Musketeers.”
