EXO’s Tao Halts Music Show Promotions Due to Ankle Injury

EXO‘s Tao is unable to participate in today’s “Music Bank” due to an unfortunate ankle injury.

A representative of SM Entertainment stated, “Right after performing on ‘M!Countdown,’ Tao felt pain in his ankle. To prevent further injury, we will temporarily cancel his activities and focus on treating the ankle.”

EXO held their first comeback stage on “M!Countdown” on March 2, and immediately after wrapping up the pre-filming for their stage, Tao felt that something was wrong with his ankle. Due to the pain, he was unable to participate in another scheduled pre-shoot for their comeback stage.

This means that only nine members of EXO will be performing on today’s “Music Bank,” and it is uncertain whether Tao will be seen on any other music shows this week.

Last February, Tao suffered an unexpected ankle injury during the filming for MBC’s Idol Star Athletics Championships.” While it was reported that the injury was not a severe one, Tao’s busy activities in both Korea and China have hampered the healing process.

To reassure worrying fans that he is focusing on recovery, Tao left a message on his Instagram, saying, “I will get well soon.”
