The addition of the new drama “Producer” will make big changes to KBS‘s broadcasting schedules.
This drama was first planned to air at 11:10 p.m. KST on Friday and Saturday, replacing the recently-ended variety show “Brave Family” for Friday and possibly changing the time frame of “The Human Condition 2” for Saturday.
But, according to a program representative on April 9, “Producer” will change its air time to 9:15 p.m. KST and the shows that air during that time will be adjusted accordingly.
KBS’s Saturday program “Entertainment Weekly,” which currently airs at 9:15 p.m., will air after “Producer,” and the show “In Depth 60 Minutes,” which airs after “Entertainment Weekly,” will move to Wednesdays at 11:10 p.m., replacing the discontinued program “Invisible Man.”
On Fridays, “Producer” will air first in hopes of obtaining a high viewership before tvN‘s “Grandpa’s Over Flowers” and SBS‘s “Law of the Jungle” air at 9:45 p.m. and 10 p.m. KST, respectively.
Meanwhile, this drama will center around people working in the variety program production industry. The writer of this drama is the same writer who wrote the popular drama “My Love From the Stars,” and people in the actual production include producer Seo Soo Min (in charge of “Superman Returns” and “1 Night 2 Days“) and director Yoon Sung Ho, who directed the film “Milky Way Liberation Front” (2007).
With Cha Tae Hyun, Gong Hyo Jin, Kim Soo Hyun, and IU as the lead roles, along with Park Hyuk Kwon, Na Young Hee, Kim Jong Kook, and more also appearing in the drama, this unique mix of cast and crew is already a hot topic among the audience.
“Producer” is set to air after the wrap up of “Fluttering India” on May 8.
