Get real why don't you!  First of all, for a young adult to "promise" not to leave, personal circumstances and real life gets in the way sometimes.  Add to that, the fact that he's still dealing with his injury. Hell what do you say about couples, young and old that make marriage vows with a promise to stay together forever in front of God, family and friends.  Have you looked at the divorce statistics lately.  I can't believe that so many of Tao's so-called fans would actually hold this young man to an open statement like that.  Have you ever been told by your parents that on Sunday we're going to the amusement park "promise" and then it's a no show.  So what do you do, kick the parents out and go find you another set.  It's life and I think a lot of you need to get one. 

@pjferjack Well it's not really about the fact that he promised. he signed a contract which includes liabilities and penalties and everything, but more than that the fact that he assumed an obligation. So the situation is no promise to go to the amusement park level. It's still surprising for me how people take a contract as such a light thing. 

@ioana4nihon @pjferjack As you state, the contract has liabilities and penalties associated with the agreement. However I'm sure that no entertainer in their right mind would think that he can actually walk away without having to pay up. At the end of the day, it's up to Tao and family who will ultimately decide if he stays or go. Living in a foreign country and being highly recognized is not an easy existence. As you're basically on your own, having to overcome a language barrier, get accustomed to the food and so on, must truly suck.  I work with foreign Asian high school and college students and even though they may have lived in the States for a year or two, their English for the most part is very marginal. So I can only imagine what it must be like for a young person in South Korea trying to effectively communicate while existing alone.

@pjferjack @ioana4nihon I agree with you for the most part, but I just wanna say Tao is fluent in Korean, he speaks it quite freely. I have watched a few episodes of Exo showtime and i was actually impressed. Learning Korean for him is not like learning English, it is much easier. The topic of the sentence and the functionality of words between Korean and Chinese is similar. I know because it took me about 7 years to become fluent in Japanese. On the other hand learning English felt like a piece of cake. I am European btw. But now whenever I wanna understand something in Korean I look at eat from a Japanese point of view and it makes sense.

I still think someone in China is trying to ruin exo. They keep going after a member when they go to China. And all the media is helping this person by trying to stress out the members so they can want to leave sm. Also doesn't help that the fandom is gullible and will spread any news, even when there is no evidence. Anti fans help with that too though lol

@suziekyu I completely agree with you, and I think that this whole public display with his father being emotional it's just a sham to gain public sympathy. If Tao would just leave he would  be hated by a lot of fans after all the promises he has made and especially because of his attitude when Kris left. But with his father crying publicly because of his son "health" problems, plus playing once again the SM is cruel towards its artists card, he is bound to gain public sympathy despite leaving. So my opinion it's fake. I do believe someone in China is paving the way for Tao to leave.

If Tao leaves, it's because of his Father NOT SM.

Tao also forced himself to perform though. He kept commenting about how bad he wanted to perform during their concerts, even though everyone said it was okay. He still didn't listen and then his injury got worse. So tao sorta had a hand in his injury. The boy is stubborn and shouldn't have felt guilty to fans. He should have waited.

Also you can tell he loves being in exo. He wants to be in exo. So I agree that if he leaves, it's not because he wants to

Surely, the awful working coonditions, the exaustion from having no time at all to recover from multiple injuries,the minimal paychecks, for stars of their stature, ALL OF THIS BECAUSE OF SM, has nothing to do with members leaving, right? Right.
SM is perfectly innocent and totally not exploiting their employees like cattle until they reach their breaking point.

@colorbluh Minimal paychecks? Most of the SM artists, and especially EXO are incredibly rich. And he has been resting for quite a while since he never participated to the callme baby promotions

@suziekyu You do know that SM, like most Kpop companies, trains their artists about how to answer questions on interviews and how to behave on stage?
Lu Han also performed until the very end, until his breaking point, and we saw where that got him.
And if you think he could have just asked SM for recovery time, you're being delusional. SM' business is money, and stars being on leave means less money and more rumors.
When Tao kept being injure on stage because of his flips, it's the company's fault, because they should either perform on secure stages or not perform at all, but SM doesn't care about safety.

I also think he definitely wants to be in Exo, but his injuries, plural, are bad, and have been aggravated by the fact the had no recovery time at all for any of them.
The only situation in which I think he could want to leave and he could have asked his father to "cover up" for him is if his leg's condition is so bad that he'd have to take a year-long break or something to be actually able to dance again someday.
